Description:

Provides main west TN office in Jackson for the TWRA, one of four regional offices in the state. The TWRA issues hunting and fishing licenses, provides law enforcement to reduce poaching and illegal hunting, aids in preserving endangered species, protection of wetlands, wildlife management to control animal populations, forest management, hunter education and shooting range, engineering and construction of mainly boat ramps, fish management and hatcheries, boating education, wildlife and aquatic education and maps. Intake Process:

Call or visit website for information, including locations that sell hunting/fishing licenses in the state; see website for a list of trained and licensed wildlife rehabilitators for different types of animals/birds in the state that require rescue (NOTE: Rehabilitators do NOT pick up wounded animals; you will have to bring the animal to them)
