Provides school that serves expelled and incarcerated students who are returning to the traditional school environment. In 2016 the Martin Luther King Jr Student Transition Academy on Lauderdale and Southwest Prep Academy (one of four schools that serve students who had been expelled or incarcerated in SCS system) merged to form this school, now housed in the former George Washington Carver High School in the Riverview neighborhood of Memphis.
