Description:
Provides free adult education to women in 2 areas: High School Equivalency and Computer and Job Skills. The High School Equivalency program offers HSE preparatory tutoring. Students meet with a tutor twice a week. Other resources are provided for students to work on individually. Students receive one-on-one support services while enrolled in the program, as well as guidance through the state testing process. The Computer and Job Skills program offers instruction for resume writing, interviewing skills, how to communicate in the workplace, and basic use of Word, Excel, Outlook, and the internet. Classes are offered twice a week. Bible study is offered one night a week. This site is for women only. Class size is small in both programs to allow for direct interaction with instructors. Also offers classes that provide life skills instruction, such as budgeting, goal setting, use of the library, and other topics as need/interest arise.
Free children's programming is provided for infants through 5th grade while adult learners attend classes.
