Description:

Conexion Americas provides a free after school career and college readiness program for youth in grades 11 and 12 in select Davidson County schools. Currently offered at Glencliff High School, Overton High School, and Cane Ridge High School; the Escalera program is available to any student who would be the first in their family to attend postsecondary in the United States. Snack provided but no transportation to the programming site is available.

Hours:

After School Hours: 2:15 pm - 4:00 pm, once a week per grade, on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday, depending on the grade and site. Office Hours: Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Volunteer Opportunities:

Full- and part-time Spanish-speaking and non-Spanish-speaking volunteers are welcome to teach an English as a Second Language (ESL) class; assist with childcare during family engagement classes and other workshops; work with our nationally recognized taxpayer and small business development programs; interpret at workshops, meetings and special events; lead children's activities at our parent engagement workshops; and help with set-up and registration at special events.
