Description:

Provides disabled persons 18 years and older with homemaker services, including help with light housekeeping, laundry, shopping/errands. Personal Care services are available for individuals who have difficulties with activities of daily living, which include stand-by assistance with bathing, dressing and grooming. The program also allows Homemaker Services to be made available to veterans through the Department of Veteran's Affairs Veteran's Health Administration (VHA). Services for veterans include light housekeeping, shopping and running errands as requested. The program also provides support services to adults under the protection of the Department of Human Services due to mental or physical dysfunction, advanced age, or persons who have been abused, exploited or neglected through the Social Services Block Grant (SSBG). Services for these adults include, but are not limited to, help with routine household chores, personal care, essential shopping and errands and case management.

Disabled persons 18 years and older or veterans or persons under the APS care through DHS who are residents of Chester, Decatur, Hardeman, Hardin, Henderson, Haywood, Madison and McNairy Counties.
