Description:
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis has pioneered a program in workforce development to help train and place hardworking teens in part-time jobs and graduates in productive careers. Our Technical Training Center (TTC) was the first of its kind in the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and is a premier 24,000 square foot facility that offers training in some of the fastest growing career fields in Memphis: *Culinary * Logistics * Automotive * Welding * STEM. Students learn the skills they will need to enter the workforce while receiving training in the areas of customer service, money management, computer soft-skills and persona goal setting that will make them employees of choice. The program enrolls over 300 students ages 16 to 22 with a 100% job or college placement rate for its participants.
Hours:
Mon - Fri 10:00 am - 6:00 pm during school year; Summer Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:30 pm

Program Fees:
$10.00/year for members; participants are paid a stipend to participate in the program; currently a waiting list, but youth may call to be put on the list
Eligibility:
Youth ages 16-22 who are Boys & Girls Clubs members who need employment and job training; also open to public
