Description:

Includes two fenced grassy spaces, one provides one-half acre for dogs weighing 25 pounds or less to run freely and one acre for dogs weighing more than 25 pounds. Owners, who must accompany their dogs, are provided waste bags but not water for pets .Dog owners (adults 18 or older) assume all liability for any damages caused by their dog and must document that pets are current on all required vaccinations. Benches and picnic tables are on site, as well as small pools that can be filled with water during the summer months. the park also provides for sport leagues and a skate park.

Park is located behind Shelby County Board of Education on the site of the former children's theater destroyed by the 2003 windstorm

Eligibility:

Dog owners (adults 18 or older) assume all liability for any damages caused by their dog and must document that pets are current on all required vaccinations; leashes can be removed only in the designated "unleashed fenced areas". No children under the age of 18 allowed unless accompanied by an adult.

No puppies under six months old and no choke or spike collars allowed.
