Memphis affiliate of national alliance on mental illness provides specialized information and referral, advocacy, education, and support groups for people with mental illness, including veterans and their families and persons with mental illness. National website also includes a social networking site for young adults.

Provides free classes for persons with mental illness, their friends, and families. Includes classes for family member or caregivers of adults (Family to Family); a program for persons with diagnosis of mental illness (Bridges); teaching packets for schools, health educators and churches to help recognize the warning signs and confront myths about mental illness (Ending the Silence); plus other mental health awareness programs for faith-based organizations and multicultural packets. Provides virtual monthly speakers; contact Veronique Black to register for meetings and classes.
