Ladies of Charity - VITA Tax Assistance 2023

Description:

Ladies of Charity will again be offering free income tax preparation for low and moderate income families and individuals through the VITA program. English is not required. No appointment is needed. The schedule for 2023 is 1/24/23 - 4/15/23: Tue - 9:30am - 3:00pm, Thu - 9:30am - 3:00pm, Sat - 9:30am - 2:30pm.

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU:

(1) Photo ID for all those filing, and birth dates for you, your spouse, and all dependents listed on your return.
(2) To file taxes electronically on a married-filing-joint return BOTH SPOUSES must be present.
(3) Social Security cards/ITIN for ALL individuals to be claimed, or some other official documentation - i.e. resident alien.
(4) All W-2 and/or 1099 forms from all employers for income received last year or documentation of self-employment
income.
(5) Interest paid (1098) & Childcare expenses - must have statement from daycare provider that includes EIN or Social Security number of provider.
(6) Forms 1095-A is required for you and anyone else that appears on your tax return if they or you have Health Insurance through the
Affordable Care Act Marketplace.
(8) Copy of last year's Federal and State returns, if available.
(9) For Direct Deposit, you need proof of bank account routing number and account number (such as a blank check) of your
checking or savings account.
