Description:
A federally funded program sponsored by the Hamblen County Public Health Department, offered ONLY during the months of July and August. It allows seniors 60 years of age or older and who meet eligibility criteria to receive vouchers to buy fresh produce at local Farmers Markets.
Hours:
Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
Intake Process:
Walk-in. Application must be made in JUNE. However, if one turns 60 in July or August they may apply in those months. Applicant must bring proof of age and residence (such as a drivers license, rent receipt, etc.), SS number, and proof of income for the WHOLE FAMILY (such as pay stubs, a Social Security or disability statement or food stamp eligibility letter received in January, etc.) This program is only available during the months of July and August.
