Memphis Light, Gas and Water - Pilot Light Inspection/Light-Up Services

Description:

Provides pilot light inspection and light-up services in early fall each year by appointment. Services are free to all customers prior to September 30; and always free for customers 60 and older or those with disabilities. After October 1, Fees will apply.

Hours:

Inspections can be scheduled for 8:00 am - Noon, Noon - 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; some Saturday appointments available on first-come, first-served basis; Customer Care Call Center Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 7:00 pm

Intake Process:

Service provided by appointment. Call (901) 544-6549 to schedule; may schedule appointment without talking to staff by entering your 16 digit account number and choosing an available day and time. Floor and wall furnaces should be clean prior to technician's arrival, and proper access must be provided for furnaces located in attics.

Program Fees:

Pilot light-up inspections are free to MLGW customers before October 1 and after December 31st, and always free to customers ages 60 and older or disabled; verification required at time of service. Others should call for fee quote.
