Kingsport Public Library & Archives

The Kingsport Public Library serves the citizens of Kingsport (and surrounding areas) by providing an organized collection of books, periodicals, and nonprint media in a setting conducive to their use; by developing and maintaining a collection that reflects the interests of Kingsport citizens, that recognizes their needs for learning and recreation and that respects free inquiry as the basis for a democratic way of life; by assisting in the uses of the materials in the collection and of the special needs of young people with a children's library, by preservation of materials related to local history & genealogy, by encouraging reading and providing a forum for the discrimination of ideas.

Memphis Urban League Young Professionals

Provides mentoring, civic engagement, and training in financial literacy/empowerment and personal/professional development for young professionals, ages 21-40 in the Memphis area; actively seeks to involve young professionals in community initiatives that provide mentoring, financial literacy, health advocacy and other issues to underserved Memphis residents.

Nashville Out-of-School Time Program Locater - Nashville Freedom School Partnership

While the agency's program is focused on the literacy-based needs of scholars in grades K-8, it also provides experience learning/work/job preparedness for grades 9-12 and for college students and young adults in fall and spring break and summer camps at two school sites: Robert Churchwell - 1625 Dr DB Todd Jr Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37208 and at Napier Elementary - 67 Fairfield Avenue, Nashville, TN 37210.

Sacred Heart Southern Missions - Dehon Village - Low Income Housing

Sacred Heart Southern Missions Housing ministry includes a 38-home rental neighborhood, Dehon Village, for low income families plus programs to help low-income families move toward or to retain home ownership, including budget and credit counseling and homebuyer education.
