Description:
A federally-funded program that provides nutrition education and EBT loaded cards for pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children younger than age five who are or below 185% of Federal poverty and are at medical or nutritional risk. Appointments for WIC are scheduled at the WIC site (which are usually located in the county health departments) and once approved, participants can use their EBT card and PIN number for milk, cheese, eggs, cereal, fruit juice, vegetables, peanut butter, beans and formula in most grocery stores.
