Provides shelter-to-housing program that serves families facing and experiencing homelessness. Safe Haven provides shelter and housing services for couples with children, single parent families and multi-generational families with children up to 18 years of age. Families receive financial literacy, workforce development, children!s education/enrichment program, case management, and assistance in obtaining affordable housing. Families also receive access to necessities such as personal care items, food and clothing. The Rapid re-housing program is a shelter to housing model where families are housed in shelter and referred to housing through coordinated entry program. Intake for services is conducted through the main coordinated entry line for Davidson County at 615-862-6444. More information will be given to families in need by the intake specialist.

The best way to donate items to Safe Haven is through their Amazon Wish List. Needed items will be delivered directly to the shelter. If donors wish to bring donated items to the shelter, please make an appointment and be sure the items are on the needed items list. Safe Haven cannot accept clothing, TVs, used mattresses, or used bedding.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve dinner, answer phones and greet guests at the front desk, provide childcare, and help with events. Individuals certified in health and wellness fields are needed to lead wellness classes and activities for adults and children. All volunteer opportunities require the completion of a volunteer application, and many also require background checks and volunteer training. Visit the website for details.
