Nashville Electric Service is working with the TVA to provider free home energy upgrades to eligible low income homeowners in Metro Nashville. Program can fund new or repaired HVAC units, wall and attic insulation, appliances, electrical wiring, etc. Call or see website to see if you may be eligible and how to apply.

Intake Process:

Call for information or help, or apply online (www.nespower.com/-/media/project/nes/common/pdfs/energy-assistance/nashville-home-uplift-customer-application-11-5-20-pdf.pdf). You need one current form of photo identification (i.e., driver's license, Social Security card, passport, birth certificate), proof of income for all household residents over 18, and proof of home ownership. May apply and submit needed documents online or mail completed application to: Home Uplift Program C/O CLEAResult, PO Box 290189, Nashville, TN 37229.

Program Fees:

Program requires a home energy evaluation from a TVA approved contractor, but this money will be refunded to successful applicants.

Eligibility:

Low income homeowners in Metro Nashville; home must be owner-occupied single family home; household must meet income eligibility requirements, have an energy evaluation of their home, have the gas/electric bill in the primary applicant's name and home must not have received any assistance from other TVA funded programs in the last 20 years
