Nashville Electric Service is working with the Tennessee Valley Authority to provide free home energy upgrades to income eligible homeowners in Metro Nashville. Intake Process:
Call for information or help or apply online (https://homeuplift.mytva.com/qualify/). You need one current form of photo identification (i.e., driver's license, Social Security card, passport, birth certificate), proof of income for all household residents over 18, and proof of home ownership. May apply and submit needed documents online or mail completed application to: Home Uplift Program C/O CLEAResult, PO Box 290189, Nashville, TN 37229.
Program Fees:
Program requires a home energy evaluation from a TVA approved contractor, but this money will be refunded to successful applicants.
Eligibility:
Income eligible homeowners in Middle Tennessee who are customers of a local power company offering Home Uplift; home must be owner-occupied single-family home built after 1976; household must meet income eligibility requirements, have an energy evaluation of their home, have the gas/electric bill in the primary applicant's name and home must not have received any assistance from other TVA funded programs in the last 20 years.
