Habitat for Humanity of Rutherford County provides an empowering affordable home ownership program serving families and individuals in Rutherford County (zip codes: 37130, 37129, 37128, 37167, or 37086). Services offered include low cost homes/housing units, volunteer opportunities, and sweat equity programs. The Habitat ReStore takes donations of household goods and recycles and sells them at discount prices. The ReStore and the Offices are at the same address. RCHFH also has an Aging In Place program to do repairs on houses owned by seniors who cannot maintain their home or afford critical repairs. The agency can sometimes also help veterans with repairs and refer people to other agencies or programs such as the Home Uplift Program from Nashville Electric Services and MTE. The store has 10% discounts for Seniors (on Wednesdays) and Veterans (on Thursdays).

Volunteer Opportunities:
RCHFH offers a volunteer team building experience few other nonprofits can offer at both the Habitat Build sites and the ReStore. Volunteers can often work hand-in-hand with the Future Homeowner and learn of their journey to homeownership. Build volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Agency sometimes has "Panel Builds" where volunteers can be as young as 14, if with a parent/guardian.
