Provides rent assisted public housing when sites are available. When applications are being accepted at a site, the applications may be picked up Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm at the preferred site of choice for housing. Inquiries about the status of pending applications must be made at the same site in which the person applied to on Tuesdays and Fridays between 8:30 am - 2:00 pm. Program Fees:

Rent is 30% of gross or adjusted income or a minimum of $50.00, whichever is higher.

Eligibility:

Applicants must meet income guidelines to qualify for rent-assisted public housing. May apply at any public housing manager's office. Waiting list runs two to four years, depending on size of family. Preference given to those currently homeless or victims of any governmental action (e.g., condemnation) causing future homelessness.
