Description:

Working with New Enterprise Company, provides Memphis Area Rideshare program, a database of commuters for those wishing to carpool or vanpool. Will provide six free taxi rides a year (for emergencies only) for registered commuters in the Rideshare program and carpool vouchers for Commute with Enterprise. Once enrolled, the program will provide participants with a list of fellow commuters with similar routes and schedules to contact. Carpoolers share the ride, the driving, and expenses. Provides vanpool program utilizing 12-passenger vans. Riders or their employees pay the majority of costs for the service, but are allowed a tax deduction of up to $130.00/month for vanpooling expenses. A minimum of eight riders is required.

Program Fees:

No Fee to sign up for the program. Online commuter database and emergency taxi rides are free to registered commuters; the six taxi cab vouchers for emergencies expire after a year. (An emergency would include having to leave work early due to sickness or other unforseen circumstances).
