Mid-East Community Action Agency - Roane County - Round About Roane

Description:

Seniors who are 60 or older volunteer to drive residents of Roane County to doctor appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. Drivers will pick up the passengers at their home, stay with them throughout their appointment, and drive them back home. Drivers can transport passengers who use a cane or walker but not a wheelchair. Please give a 3-day notice of when you need a ride. Drivers may be able to drive to appointments in adjacent counties.

Hours:

Mon-Thu 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
Fri 7:30 am - 1:00 pm
Closed Mon-Thu from 11:30 am - 12:15 pm for lunch

Program Fees:

$25.00 membership fee per year per person
$6.00 per round trip for each person who has an appointment; a family member may ride with the patient for free
