Description:

Provides a self-service machine to renew or replace a TN driver's license or identification card. You must have had a previous license or ID and be 18 or older to use this service; no commercial driver's license can be renewed or replaced by these machines. You can change your address on the existing card at these kiosks as well. (follow directions on the screen and if your address has changed, you'll be able to change your address). NOTE: REAL IDS CANNOT BE ISSUED FOR THE FIRST TIME FROM A KIOSK; HOWEVER, ONCE YOU HAVE RECEIVED A REAL ID IN PERSON FROM A DRIVER SERVICES CENTER, THEY CAN BE RENEWED AT THESE KIOSKS.

Please call 901-415-2702 to determine if the Kiosk is open on the day you plan to visit. Library staff do not maintain the kiosk as it is maintained by the State of Tennessee.

Open during library opening hours: Mon - Thu 10:00 am - 8:00 pm; Fri & Sat 10:00 - 6:00 pm; Sun 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Intake Process:

Must have old drivers license or ID (not expired more than five years) or numbers from card OR you must type in the last four digits of your Social Security Number; follow directions upon screen. Upon payment, you will be issed a receipt and a temporary ID or license; your permanent card should arrive in the mail within 20 days.

Eligibility:

Persons who are 18 and older who have previously had a TN Drivers License or Photo ID; will not renew Commercial Drivers Licenses or licenses issued through the military; must go to Drivers Service Center in person to renew these types of licenses.
