AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Service - Kingsport Renaissance Center

2023 Tax Year:

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides in-person and virtual tax assistance to anyone free of charge with a special focus on taxpayers who are over 50 and have low to moderate income. Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide, and are trained and IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code.

Senior center is located on the lower floor of the Kingsport Renaissance Center, 1200 Center Street

Senior center is located on the lower floor of the Kingsport Renaissance Center, 1200 Center Street. Site will open February 02, 2023....... Brief socially-distanced meetings will be utilized to obtain taxpayer's dropped-off documents. Secured documents are then moved to an on-site preparation area for return preparation. The taxpayer typically waits for completion of the data entry in a large waiting area. The completed tax form is reviewed with the taxpayer and their signatures obtained before electronically filing the return.
