Description:
Project Return provides services that connect people with resources needed to return successfully to work and community after incarceration with a special emphasis on career development and employment. Project Return's mission is to provide services and connect people with resources needed to return successfully to work and community after incarceration. Participants can receive the full array of services after completing the Job Readiness Program, which is a 4-day curriculum consisting of 5 classes and an extensive coaching session filled with a resume appointment, mock interviews, and how to discuss a criminal background during an interview. While completing classes, they receive hot meals and bus passes. Once classes are complete, they are eligible for extensive job coaching, job referrals, and an opportunity to join our transitional jobs program, as well as boots, tools, and clothing needed for the job.
The agency can also help formerly incarcerated people negotiate child support repayment, obtain necessary identification (birth certificates, state IDs, and driver licenses), secure medical, dental, and vision care, and locate housing and child care.
