Pretrial Release
Programs that procure the release of people who have been charged with an offense by depositing money, property or bonds as a means of ensuring their future attendance in court and of compelling them to remain within the jurisdiction of the court.
Programs that function as impartial investigative arms of the court which accept requests concerning adults who have been formally charged with a crime, are in custody, and who want to be released without bail. The program interviews the individual, does a background check, and submits a report and recommendation regarding the request to the court.
