Description:

The Sheriff's Office has a section of fully trained Reserve Deputies. Reserves serve on all shifts depending on their availability. Reserve Deputies go through training comparable to full-time officers. They must meet rigorous classroom, firearm and physical agility standards in a basic recruit academy then maintain their training by completing at least 40 hours per year.

Hours:

Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Intake Process:

Sign up or download application from website or call to request application. Active reserve members may sign up to volunteer for specific events online.

Program Fees:

No Fee. Initial uniforms, equipment, and gear provided as well as a yearly uniform allowance.

Eligibility:

Applicants must be ages 21 and over, US citizens, be clear of any arrest record with convictions on felony/assault/DUI/gambling charges, have correctable eyesight, and pass physical/psychological profile and drug screening.
