Description:
The Child Advocacy Center for the 23rd Judicial District (23rd CAC) is a place for children who are victims/alleged victims of child abuse to receive support after a report of child abuse has been made. Located in Charlotte, Tennessee with offices in Dover and Ashland City as well the agency serves Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, and Stewart counties. The 23rd CAC works with police and child protection workers to talk with children in a safe and child-friendly location.
The mission of the 23rd CAC is to serve as a safe and child-friendly center where members of the Child Protective Investigative Teams can provide comprehensive services and a multi-disciplinary approach to child victims of severe sexual and physical abuse and their non-offending family members.
In support of this effort the 23rd CAC works to unite public, private and community partners to ensure the safety, health and well-being of abused children.

Mon -Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, by referral and appointment

A children's advocacy center (CAC) is a child-focused, facility-based program in which representatives from many disciplines, including law enforcement, child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical, victim advocacy and child advocacy, work together to conduct interviews and make team decisions about investigation, treatment, management and prosecution of child abuse cases.
