Description:

Provides free, walk-in legal clinics, usually on the second Saturdays of the month at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar, Memphis 38111. Volunteer attorneys and paralegals provide information, advice and referrals from 10:00 am - Noon (or when all slots are filled) on first-come, first-seen basis. Clinics stop taking new clients at 10:45 am. Clinics are a joint project of MALS and the Memphis Bar Association Access to Justice Committee. The Public Defender's Office will be offering an Expungement Workshop each month at the Free Saturday Legal Clinic. Persons inquiring about expungement need to go to the sign in table for the Legal Clinic. They will be directed to the Expungement Workshop within the meeting room area.

Scheduled Saturdays, 10:00 am - 11:45 am (or till all slots are filled) at Benjamin L. Hooks Library, 3030 Poplar Ave, Memphis 38111. All clinics will take place in the Meeting Rooms on the first floor of the library.
