Description:
Pursuant to TN Supreme Court Rule 52, the Court adopted plain language forms for divorces without minor children as universally acceptable and legally sufficient for use in Tennessee courts. The plain language forms for divorces without minor children are now available on the Administrative Office of the Courts website.
You can access the forms by going to www.tncourts.gov on both the Forms and Publications page under "Court Forms".

Eligibility:
TN residents applying for an agreed divorce, which is limited to couples who have no children together under age 18 or who are disabled or still in high school; the wife is not pregnant; both parties want to end their marriage; they don't own buildings, land or a business and don't have retirement benefits. A lawyer is needed if any of these situations apply.
