Description:
Helps veterans and their dependents in filing applications and obtaining benefits for various services including pension and compensation, medical services, aid and attendance and/or housebound benefits, grave markers, vital statistics, educational benefits, insurance loans and claims, license plates, personal hearings and appeals connected with claims, completing annual EVR's (Eligibility Verification Reports), and obtains claimants power of attorney for service organization representing veterans.
Representatives of the Knox County Veteran's Service Office go to the Senior Centers to provide one-on-one assistance to vets and family members. They will explain VA benefits, answer questions, and assist veterans and family members with filing for their VA benefits.
