Provides hands-on training for adults in specific technical occupations and skilled and semiskilled trades for individuals who have graduated from high school or the equivalent. TCAT Murfreesboro offers programs at the Murfreesboro Campus: Aesthetics, Central Sterile Processing, Computer Aided Design, Cosmetology, Cosmetology Instructor, Dental Assisting, Digital Graphic Design, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration), Industrial Electricity, Information Technology, Manicuring, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology & Welding. Smyrna Campus Programs include: Automotive Service Technology, Collision Repair, Industrial Electrical Maintenance/Mechatronics, Information Technology, Machine Tool & Welding.

Mon - Thu 8:00 am - 8:00 pm; Fri 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Eligibility

Must be 18 years or older; may accept younger with HS diploma, HiSet (High School Equivalency Test) or GED; May apply for enrollment at the school during business hours or online at www.tcatmurfreesboro.edu and click on apply now. Once applied to program you will be placed on an interest list and will be enrolled as vacancies occur.

Fees

Call for information. Fees are subject to change without notice. Costs vary for textbooks, supplies, uniforms, and tools needed for training depending on program. Most Tennessee citizens 18 years of age or older are eligible for Wilder Naifeh, TN Promise, TN Reconnect and Federal Pell for full-time enrollment at a Tennessee College of Applied Technology. Financial aid is available for those who qualify.
