Description:
Provides free training to adult ELLs that want to learn more about American history, civics, and the naturalization process. Each student must take a free entrance exam in order to determine eligibility and the appropriate class level. Classes are offered mornings and evenings to help students build their speaking, listening and writing skills so that students achieve their goal by gaining American citizenship. Classes are offered in Whitehaven, Cordova and at the main Summer Avenue site.

Eligibility:
Anyone who wants to improve their English language skills, is interested in becoming an American citizen, and has verifiable proof of legal permanent residence in the US. Each student must be able to achieve a 181 or higher on the National Reporting System of Adult Education (NRS) scale in both listening and reading categories. We provide free on site testing during the registration process. Required documents are either a valid green card or Form I-485.
