Description:
Investigates bites by disease-transmitting animals. Responds to complaints of stray animals and enforces leash law only in unincorporated parts of Shelby County. (For problems with raccoons or squirrels, residents must contact a private pest control company; no county or city agency deals with these types of animals.) Also inspects non-residential swimming pools in both city and county, investigates high weeds in unincorporated areas of Shelby County and surveys for health problems.

Citizens of Memphis and Shelby County for mosquito control. Animal control and overgrown lots complaints available for unincorporated areas of Shelby County only.
