Description:

Provides non-profit missing children's agency that offers assistance in locating missing children and provides free substance abuse screening for parents who suspect their child is using drugs and at-home drug testing kits for parents in Memphis and Shelby County. Provides a variety of child safety programs and technical information, including free child identification kits, Safety in Cyberspace Education and Bullying Prevention programs. All programs are free and open to the public; staff will provide programs for any organization in Shelby County; may do presentations outside the Memphis area on request if staff and scheduling allow.

Eligibility:

Free drug screening service and home drug-testing kit is available in Memphis and Shelby County; COMEC will pay for one free screening service at four locations of Baptist Minor Medical Centers in Olive Branch, Memphis, Cordova and Bartlett for children ages 18 and under; must bring COMEC brochure into the medical center for this service. Call to request home-drug testing kit.

Presentations are available in Shelby County and may be available in other counties on request.
