Description:
Autism TN tries to bridge the gaps between support, resources, and programs, so Autistic individuals are empowered to recognize their potential and discover the meaningful connections needed to realize their goals. Programs offered include: Building Bridges (a training program for inclusive childcare and preschool designed to provide parents/guardians with the tools and knowledge to create an inclusive environment for the child); Education: ACE'ing the Spectrum and Spectrum chats are monthly, in-depth presentations on a variety of topics of interest to the autism community; EmployMe, a Job Seeker program designed specifically to empower and support persons with Autistim find meaningful employment; the Helpline, an information and referral database with autism related resources; Captain Spectrum's Be Kind Scholarship for post-secondary education for autistic teens or adults; social networking opportunities for persons with autism of all ages; social networking and support groups for family/caretakers of persons with autism and annual expos that feature area organizations that offer inclusive programs.
Although Membership is not required to receive services, membership benefits include free attendance to all educational workshops and panel discussions, free or reduced fee for expos and other community events, and the right to vote for selection of Autism Tennessee Board of Directors.

Spectrum Socials: Free for AutismTN members; $0-$5 for non-members
Eligibility:
Autistic people, their families, and community members; the Be Kind Scholarship is for autistic teens or adults living in TN who plan to attend university, community college or vocational school
