The National Kidney Foundation of Memphis provides free screenings to identify persons at increased risk for kidney disease; limited financial assistance to kidney patients with no resources; provides kidney disease information/referral, educational literature, and educational programs on kidney-related topics; supports legislation on both federal and state levels to support persons living with kidney disease; accepts donated vehicles which are then sold at auction or for parts so that proceeds can be used to provide services to patients and the community.

Eligibility:

Residents of West TN or Crittenden County, AR on dialysis, patients treated in Memphis dialysis centers and kidney transplant patients. Persons wishing to donate a vehicle should call for application packet. Free screenings available to persons 18 years or older who have a family member with diabetes, high blood pressure or chronic kidney failure or who have high blood pressure or diabetes themselves.
