Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville creates a safe, affordable space for patients and their families as they navigate difficult times in a new city. They provide housing obtained through referrals, day services like showers and laundry facilities, and waiting room adoption where they provide much-needed supplies to loved ones confined to hospital lobbies. Above and beyond these services, they strive to create a sense of community for their guests so they can feel a little closer to home.
Hours:
Office hours: Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4:00 pm; Sat 9:00 am - 4:00 pm; Sun 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Intake Process:
Hospital social workers or nurse case manager will make a referral. Families must have a patient who is receiving active treatment in a local hospital. Anyone over 18 who will be staying overnight must complete a background check.
For those caregivers who prefer to remain at the hospital or for those who live within Davidson County or surrounding local counties, the agency offers Day Services programs. Guests may shower, do laundry, and rest in the lounge. This brief respite from the hospital rejuvenates caregivers while meeting their most basic needs.
Program Fees:
Each family pays $35 per night to stay.
Eligibility:
For overnight lodging, must live outside Davidson county and be over the age of 12 years old.
Day Services are available to those who live in Davidson County or surrounding local counties who wish to remain at the hospital.
