Provides essential resources and temporary lodging for families of critically ill children receiving inpatient or outpatient medical care at Nashville area hospitals.
Hours:
Daily 8:00 am - 9:00 pm
Intake Process:
Must be referred by a social worker. A referral is not a reservation. RMHC of Nashville staff makes room assignments based on room availability, severity of diagnosis, and distance traveled. Anyone 18 years or older who will be staying in the house must pass a background check. It is the responsibility of the prospective house guest to inquire about room availability by calling the Ronald McDonald House twice a day, starting on the day they need the room. Suites are available for bone marrow, stem cell, and heart transplant patients.
Program Fees:
$15.00 a night, but no family will be turned away for financial reasons. Accepts cash, check, or major credit cards.
Eligibility:
Families with a critically ill child who is getting inpatient or outpatient hospital treatment and live 40 or more miles from the facility.

The agency maintains an Amazon Wish List and welcome donations. If you'd like to conduct a drive for needed items, the House requests breakfast cereal, Pop Tarts, pastries, non-dairy creamer, shelf-stable (not frozen) microwave dinners, ramen noodles, lunch meat, hot dogs, individually packaged snacks and chips, ranch dressing, mayonnaise, sandwich bread, eggs, hot chocolate packets, wooden coffee stirrers, dishwasher pods, non-styrofoam to-go containers, microwave safe paper 20-oz. bowls, bleach, Dreft baby detergent, dryer sheets, individual hand soap, Swiffer sweeper, Swiffer wet pads, Weiman microwave and cooktop wipes, grocery gift cards, fast food gift cards, gas gift cards, activity passes and events (movies, sporting events, etc.), batteries, Lysol disinfectant spray and wipes, 8 oz. styrofoam cups and lids, napkins, small paper plates, plastic forks and spoons, hard candy, regular coffee, juice boxes, and microwave popcorn.
Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are welcome to: greet and welcome families and visitors to the House and Family Room; register families into the House; answer phone calls; handle calls from hospital personnel, families and visitors; help keep the kitchen and public areas well organized and clean; assist volunteer groups with tours and meals; and provide home cooked meals for our families. Volunteers 18 years and older must pass a background check.
