Description

Workforce Essentials provides certified Drivers Ed Classes for drivers ages 15-20. The program consists of 30 hours of classroom instruction and six hours of behind-the-wheel drive time. Students will attend the classroom instruction either over four consecutive Saturdays or four weekdays during one week – school schedules permitting. Behind-the-wheel drive time is scheduled separately and will occur outside of the classroom hours. Court-ordered defensive driving classes are also available.

Fees

$375 for driver's education for those ages 15-20 years; discounts are available for military students and those registering at the same time as their siblings. $50 for defensive driving class.

In addition to the high school equivalency program, the agency offers Integrated English Literacy and Civics (IELC) classes for non-native English speakers. These classes are also free of charge, and will equip students with the ability to speak, read, and write in English, while at the same time teaching students about the US Government!
