Description:

This Veterans' cemetery in Nashville has space available for cremated remains. They may be able to accommodate casketed remains in the same gravesite of previously interred family members.

Hours:

Office hours: Mon - Fri 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; closed Federal holidays except Memorial Day. Visitation hours: daily from dawn until dusk.

Intake Process:

To schedule a burial, fax all discharge documentation to the National Cemetery Scheduling Office at 1-866-900-6417 and follow-up with a phone call to 1-800-535-1117.

Program Fees:

Burial benefits available include a gravesite in any of the 142 national cemeteries with available space, opening and closing of the grave, perpetual care, a Government headstone or marker, a burial flag, and a Presidential Memorial Certificate, at no cost to the family. Some Veterans may also be eligible for Burial Allowances. Cremated remains are buried or inurned in national cemeteries in the same manner and with the same honors as casketed remains. Visit the website for details. Pre-need arrangements can be made. The Veteran's family will need to cover the cost of funeral director services, like cremation.

Members of the reserve components of the armed forces who die while on active duty or who die while on training duty, or were eligible for retired pay, may also be eligible for burial.
