Madonna Learning Center provides a nurturing, faith-based educational and social environment that empowers children and young adults with special needs to reach their full potential while offering support to their families. The target population is children and young adults with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities (Down syndrome, autism, rare genetic disorders, seizure disorders,etc.) beginning at age 4, serving Memphis, TN and surrounding counties. Services include math, reading, science and social studies classes as well as art, music, PE, and movement programs. School services include speech therapy, language therapy, occupational therapy and behavior therapy. Also provides vocational training for adults 18 and older with intellectual disabilities who are able to transition to work sites and the community. DTD Partner Agency.

Intake Process:

To apply for the school, contact the center directly or visit website for information; must provide medical and psychological records, any former IEP (Individualized Educational Plan) documents plus other required documents. Applications to the program through the IEA (Individualized Education Account) are found on the tn.gov/education/iea website and are accepted from February to April 15th for the coming school year. Once the window for applications closes, applicants will have to wait until the next year to apply for the IEA program.

Program Fees:

$14,700.00/year tuition; $400.00/registration. Tuition assistance available based upon income

Eligibility:

Accepts students beginning at age 4 who are not medically fragile, require 1-on-1 care, and who do not plan to receive a regular diploma. Once accepted, children may continue at Madonna until age 30+. All students must have had psychological evaluation within last three years.
