Global Outreach Developments International (G.O.D. Int'l) provides several local community service programs including youth empowerment programs, immigrant and refugee services. Specific programs include a summer youth employment program through the MHDA and Metro Action Commission and The RIDE (Refugee and Immigrant Driver Education) program designed to empower individuals with the essential skill of driving.

RIDE (Refugee and Immigrant Driver Education) is a program designed to empower individuals with the essential skill of driving in America. This program serves refugees and immigrants from the Hispanic, Congolese, Burmese, Afghan, and Ukrainian communities. Through a 6-week course that includes translated video and interactive content, participants gain driving knowledge and skills along with cultural insight such as American unwritten driving norms. Learning to drive is a valuable asset, providing independence and flexibility in meeting daily obligations and accessing essential services.

The summer youth employment program is called WorkWell through the POWER Youth Employment initiative in partnership with Metro Action Commission, STARS Nashville, Metro Development and Housing Agency and Goodwill for youth ages 14-18; requires referral through the POWER Youth Employment initiative. Agency operates two programs: WorkWell Experience for teens ages 14-15 and a summer internship for high school students ages 16-18.

Mon - Fri 8:30 am - 4:00 pm

Program Fees:

No Fee for summer youth employment program or elderly and widow care; Driving classes are $10.00/class or $70.00/eight classes; Scholarships are available for the driving classes.
