Description:
Moves & Grooves is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization seeking to inspire youth to create for themselves and to discover, learn, and, grow through the Arts. Agency offers before and afterschool care and summer day camp for at-risk youth providing arts enrichment activities, tutoring and homework assistance by certified teachers, STEAM programming, mentorship, and more. Also offers summer youth employment program for youth ages 14-15; apply at the Metro Action Commission website for the P.O.W.E.R. Youth program in spring.

Program Fees:
No fee for after-school care at Apollo Middle, Thurgood Marshall Middle, Croft Middle, or Margaret Allen Middle. After-school care at Smith Springs Elementary requires a one-time $30 registration fee per child and $40 per week per child; a sibling discount of $10 is available for each child after the first. Before-school care at Eagle View Elementary requires a one-time $30 registration fee per child and $25 per week; a sibling discount of $10 is available for each child after the first. After-school care at Eagle View Elementary requires a one-time $30 registration fee per child and $40 per week per child. Before- and after-school care at Eagle View Elementary requires a one-time $30 registration fee per child and $55 per week per child.

Description
Provides P.O.W.E.R. Youth summer employment program. Agency hires up to 24 youth ages 14-15 to take part in a paid summer internship program. Each summer has a different project focus and the students present their project findings through a creative final presentation. Students learn financial literacy, teamwork, leadership, and more. Moves and Grooves summer youth employment program typically occurs for 7 weeks in June- July, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM - 8:45 AM. Eligibility: youth must be 14 or 15 years old and apply through the P.O.W.E.R. Youth application portal through the Metro Action Commission's website.
