Provides general information about WIC (Women, Infant and Children Nutrition Program) applications, screenings and certifications for pregnant women and children under age 5 who qualify. WIC provides vouchers for nutritious food, nutrition education, and counseling general information about the Women, Infant and Children Nutrition Program, This location s the WIC administrative office for Shelby County and can provide locations in Shelby County where you can be screened for eligibility for the program. NOTE: DUE TO COVID-19, PROGRAM IS AVAILABLE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.

Eligibility:

Shelby County women who are pregnant, new moms (up to six months after delivery), breastfeeding moms (up to one year after delivery) and infants and children under the age of five years old who meet eligibility (nutrition and income) guidelines; must call for appointment for WIC screening. All applicants must be present; requires state-issued ID, proof of residence, proof of income (up to 185% of Federal Poverty Levels), and children's current shot and insurance records, if applicable. Pregnant applicants must bring proof of pregnancy. Persons are automatically eligible for WIC if they are already enrolled in SNAP or TANF/Families First programs.
