Description:

Planned respite care for those raising a child with serious emotional disturbances such as ADHD, autism, dual diagnosis or other mental illnesses for children ages 2-15 in Rutherford County. The program provides families with break time and support, as well as the development of behavioral management skills with the children. The program model offers short-term relief and teaches an empowerment model to parents which helps the families to find community supports for longer term respite. Services are provided in the community; crisis respite services also available. This program is only offered at the Smyrna campus.

Hours:

Office Hours: Mon - Fri 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; program lasts around nine weeks with two to four hours of respite provided weekly at the Smyrna Campus.

Call to schedule an appointment. AFFIRM consultants work closely with families to match respite providers with each child.
