Description:
Provides faith-based literacy, mentoring, after school and summer camp programs for students living in North and West Nashville, focusing on the 37208 and 37209 zip codes. One on one mentoring is available for K-12th graders in the school setting or during the afterschool programming hours; mentoring is provided before, during, and after school and in the summers at scheduled times.
Hours:
Hours vary by program; call for details. Mentoring and volunteer hours are available in the morning, during lunch, after school, as well as in the evening during the summer.
Intake Process:
Call or check website for more information. Families will complete registration form for student to participate in PTM programming. Upon completion, guardians will receive information to attend a mandatory orientation.

Small fee for both school year and summer programming.
Eligibility:
Summer camp: Preference is given to 1st-12th grade students that participate in school year programming with PTM. Slots remaining are extended to partner school sites and surrounding communities. After School Program: Students who live in zip codes 37208 or 37209 and/or attend schools in those areas. Currently pick up from these schools: Alex Green, Charlotte Park Elementary, Cockrill Elementary, H.G. Hill Middle, Hull Jackson, McKissack Middle, Nashville Prep, Park Avenue Elementary, Republic High School, Robert Churchwell Elementary, and Sylvan Park Elementary.
Mentoring: Students must be enrolled at PTM in order to be eligible for a mentor.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteers are needed to help with summer camp, homework, provide mentorship to students, assist with group games and activities and provide literacy support to K-12 students. Volunteers have the option to pay for their own background check (Average cost is $25.00). Complete the online volunteer application and attend a virtual or in-person orientation. Volunteer Services Manager will follow-up regarding the background check after the first two steps are completed. Volunteers must prioritize student safety and agree to go through the volunteer onboarding process.
