Description

Program offered to children who are deemed medically fragile by a physician and require nursing care; nursing program operates under supervision of a pediatrician who is familiar with each child and their diagnosis; examples of treated diagnoses include alagille syndrome, brain injuries, cancer, cerebral palsy, failture to thrive (FIT), heart defects, neuroendocrine hyperplasia of infancy (NEHI), spina bifida, and transplants; there are a multitude of diagnoses that would also qualify for nursing services; contact for more information

Staff work with child to develop skills needed to reach greatest mobility; therapy skills might include mobility on indoor and outdoor surfaces and stairs, lower extremity and core muscle strength, joint range of motion, endurance, coordination, and balance, equipment needs, and ball skills for hand-eye coordination.

Staff work to improve a child's understanding of language and their expression of thoughts and feelings; this therapy helps with the articulation of speech, which focuses on the sounds rather than the content of language. Skills addressed include comprehension, expression, articulation, cognitive therapy, voice disorders, and stuttering.

Daily: 8:30 am - 3:00 pm Early Care (optional): 7:30 am - 8:30 am Extended Care (optional): 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm (not available on Wednesdays)
