The Greater Memphis Chapter 2012 is one of 160 chapters of USA Dance, a national non-profit which promotes ballroom dancing and is the official governing body and member of the USOC (United States Olympic Committee) and IOC (International Olympic Committee) for the WDSF (World Dance Sport Federation). USA Dance educates the public regarding physical, mental, and social benefits of ballroom dancing; organizes and sponsors professional and amateur dance competitions, dance scholarships and training for ages k- through Seniors. Memphis chapter 2012 sponsors Beginner and Intermediate Group Ballroom Dance classes, taught by Accredited Professional Dance Instructors. These Dances and Instructors are rotated each month giving the student knowledge of all American Style dances, including: Waltz, Fox Trot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo/Salsa, Hustle, West coast Swing, East Coast Swing, etc. for only $7.00 per class and Students with ID for only $3.00. USA Dance chapter 2012 holds Monthly dances at Church gym venues each month throughout the year with recorded DJ Ballroom music, two of which feature a full Orchestra. Membership Benefits include discounted fees for the Monthly Dances, American Dancer magazine and reciprocal discounts to all National chapter events. Performances will resume in late 2021.
