Description:
The Sri Ganesha Temple Cultural Committee organizes cultural programs consistent with the Temple mission, and to foster increased understanding and appreciation of the Indian cultural arts in Nashville. Patronage for the cultural arts has been an ancient tradition associated with Hindu temples and they are proud to maintain that cherished ideal. They organize 7-8 programs during the year, generally a good blend of Hindustani/Carnatic classical music, devotional and classical dance programs.
The Sri Ganesha Temple also offers monthly tours of the temple that are open to anyone. In addition, the temple provides a summer camp each July that's open to children in rising 1st to 5th grades.
Hours:
Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 12:00 noon and 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm; Sat and Sun 8:00 am - 8:00 pm. Temple tours are held the second Saturday of each month at 10:00 am. Summer camp takes place for a week in July Mon - Fri 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Intake Process:
Anyone may attend the tour or cultural events. No reservation is necessary for the temple tour. Summer camp registration and payment is online.

Description
The temple provides a summer day camp each July that's open to children in rising 1st to 5th grades. The purpose of the Discover India Camp is to develop competence and confidence in the participants as children growing up in Indian and American cultures. Students are given the opportunity to learn more about the Indian culture through a wide range of fun and meaningful activities/subjects including character education, yoga, arts, history and recreation. While the camp is not exclusively for kids of Indian heritage, it is geared towards this unique group of children.
