Description:
Volunteer Behavioral Health provides a continuum of services including, but not limited to, outpatient counseling, evaluation services, medication management, care management, intensive outpatient programs and crisis services to treat mental illness and co-occurring disorders (mental health and substance use issues). The VBH Athens campus offers case management, medication management, Adult and Children's Outpatient Therapy, Intensive Outpatient program, Mobile Crisis line, Continuum of Care Rural Rapid Re-housing, SSVF, Peer Support Drop In Day Center, Project BASIC, Behavioral Safety Net for adults and children, Community Behavioral Health Liaison and Finding My Recovery Online Support Program.
Provides programs for adults and children that address mental health conditions, addiction and co-occurring disorders. Includes the adult IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) that meets three times a week for three hours per day to provide skills to prevent relapse into substance abuse. Agency also provides psychiatric care management, including assessment and evaluations for each client, medication management and individualized treatment protocols with referrals to additional community resources when needed. Counseling services include, but are not limited to, individual, couples and family therapy for adults, teens and children and intensive outpatient programs. Outpatient treatment services address mental health conditions, addiction and co-occurring disorders.
