Description:

Provides individual counseling for children and families in Middle TN. Each client has an initial assessment and then sets up appointments with his or her specific counselor. Offers sliding scale fees to provide a chance for people who could not normally receive professional counseling an opportunity to do so. Daystar has six female and five male counselors on staff, along with three resident pet therapists. Hopetown is Daystar's week long summer retreat.

Bicycles for the summer session bike adventures and the annual Bike Thing fundraiser in the fall, as well as boats, life jackets, skis, wakeboards, etc. for the lake.

Volunteer Opportunities:

The Daystar house welcomes individual volunteers, as well as families, church groups, and Sunday school classes to make snacks and clean, do yard work, help with mailings, help in the art room, and prepare food for soup nights in September, November, and February.
